Privacy, Terms, and Retreat Policies

This page outlines how we handle your information, how the retreat process works, and the terms you agree to when using this website or participating in a retreat.

By using this site or engaging with Bwiti Healing Journeys, you agree to the terms below.

Your Information

When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you provide, including your name, contact details, and any personal or health-related information you choose to share.

This information is used only to:

  • communicate with you
  • determine if a retreat is a safe and appropriate fit
  • guide you through the next steps of the process

We do not sell or share your information with third parties.

Because this work involves health and personal background information, we treat what you share with care and discretion. This website is not a HIPAA-compliant medical platform, and you should avoid sharing highly sensitive medical records through the form.

Communication

By submitting your information, you agree to be contacted by email, phone, text, or WhatsApp for the purpose of discussing your inquiry and guiding you through the process.

You can opt out of communication at any time.

Use of This Website

This website is for informational purposes only. The content provided is not medical advice and should not be treated as such.

Nothing on this site guarantees acceptance into a retreat or specific results from participating in this work.

Iboga work involves physical and psychological considerations. You are responsible for consulting with your doctor or healthcare provider before participating.

Bwiti Healing Journeys does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

Application and Intake

Participation in a retreat is not automatic. All participants must:

  • complete an intake process
  • disclose all relevant health conditions
  • disclose all medications
  • complete required medical screening

Acceptance is based on safety, readiness, and overall fit. Bwiti Healing Journeys reserves the right to decline participation for any reason related to safety or appropriateness.

Medication and Health Requirements

Iboga has known contraindications with certain medications, including but not limited to SSRIs and benzodiazepines.

If you are taking any contraindicated medications, you must work with a licensed medical professional to safely discontinue use before attending.

Failure to disclose accurate medical information may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

Deposits and Payment

A deposit is required to secure your spot in a retreat. All retreats must be paid in full prior to attendance.

Details regarding payment timing and structure will be provided during the intake and booking process.

All payments are for retreat services, including preparation, lodging, meals, guidance, and integration support. No payment is made for the medicine itself.

By securing your spot, you agree to complete full payment before the retreat begins.

Failure to complete payment may result in loss of your reservation.

Cancellations and Refunds

Because retreats are small and capacity is limited, cancellations affect the entire group.

Specific cancellation and refund policies will be shared during booking.

In general:

  • deposits may be non-refundable
  • refunds may depend on timing and circumstances

Nature of the Work

This work is not a recreational experience. It involves:

  • deep emotional and psychological processes
  • physical effects from the medicine
  • personal responsibility before, during, and after the retreat

Results vary from person to person, and no specific outcome is guaranteed.

Personal Responsibility

By attending, you acknowledge that:

  • you are choosing to participate voluntarily
  • you are responsible for your own decisions and actions
  • you are responsible for following preparation and integration guidance

Participants are responsible for following all preparation instructions provided before the retreat. Failure to follow preparation guidelines may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

Right to Refuse or Remove Participation

Bwiti Healing Journeys reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant at any time if it is determined that their presence is unsafe, disruptive, or not aligned with the process.

No refund will be provided in these situations.

Retreat Locations

Retreats are held in select locations, most often in Canada and Mexico, with flexibility as locations evolve.

The exact address is shared after acceptance and closer to the retreat date for privacy and safety.

Travel Responsibility

Participants are responsible for:

  • booking their own flights
  • securing travel documents
  • arriving on time
  • managing personal travel logistics

Bwiti Healing Journeys is not responsible for travel delays, cancellations, or disruptions.

Bwiti Healing Journeys is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Limitation of Liability

By participating in this work, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks. Bwiti Healing Journeys and its providers are not liable for:

  • personal injury
